$8,000 Grant for Business

March 1st, 2010

A recent State Government initiative allows for eligible businesses to apply for up to $8,000 in funding to assist with job retention for staff and preparing for business in better economic times.  Areas in North Qld and Far North Qld have been prioritised for eligibility and this email is to bring this initiative to your attention.

Eligibility criteria for businesses includes:

  • Employ 10 or more fulltime (equivalent) employees
  • Have an established operating base in Queensland
  • Have an ABN and be registered for GST; and either
  • Be located within a local priority employment area under the Federal Government Keep Australia Working Strategy OR
  • Fall within key sectors considered critical or of strategic importance to the State, region, industry or sectorial supply chain

We strongly encourage all clients who may be eligible to apply for this initiative.
